Author's Description:The WebSucker helps to convert lengthy Pagemaker documents into HTML, for use on the web. Particularly, it is very good at converting documents with many stories, as it creates a rather customizable table of contents to link all the stories together.
The WebSucker requires Pagemaker 5.0 or 6.0. The WebSucker is available as a stand-alone fat-binary application, which runs fine on Macs and very fast on PowerMacs. If you have Hypercard 2.2 or 2.3, it is also available as a hypercard stack, suitable for hacking at my programming code (also a much smaller download). It *REALLY* does require Hypercard 2.2 or 2.3 (or the player versions), so look at what you have before downloading the stack!
New to Version 2.8 is compatibility with Pagemaker 6.0, a few bug fixes, and many user interface improvements. See the enclosed readme file for all the details!
If you're wondering why I made this compatible with Pagemaker 6.0 (since PM6 has some HTML features), here's why. PM6's HTML features are great for individual stories, but do little for long document conversion. The WebSucker is great at long document conversion (it was designed for a newspaper), but PM6 is still better at converting all your stylized text for individual stories.
